Scale Attendant

WasteConnections of Rhode Islandhas an immediate opening for aScale Attendantto join the team at our transfer station in South Kingstown, RI.

Pay Rate:$23.00 per hour.

Schedule –Monday through Friday 5:45 AM- 3:30 PM / Every other Saturday 5:45 AM to 3:30.

As ascale attendantwith us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Calculate payments for customers.

• Closing duties include balancing cash drawer, as well as reconciling the credit card machine orPOS system.

• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

What we need from you:

• Excellentcustomer serviceskills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

• Proficiency inMicrosoft Word&Excel.

• Must have flexible availability to include weekends.
