Extension Watershed Stewardship Intern

• Development of resources for homeowners on how to maintain septic systems. Materials include: webpage, factsheets, infographics, and magnets that can be distributed to county health departments.
• GIS story map of land trends in Utah looking at areas with high conversion rates of public lands and private working lands. May start in watershed (Cache County) and then build out as time allows during the internship.
• Assist in the development and delivery of a survey for producers to better understand their awareness and potential impacts of emerging water quality challenges that can impact irrigation source water (PFAs, microplastics, HABs, etc.) and what resources they may need. This will help guide future project development and extension materials.
• Participate in Extension events or development of other extension materials, as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

• Be an undergraduate student
• Have an interest in the Extension program
• Be dependable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and interest in ArcGIS and/or graphic design
