The Environmental Health & Safety Department at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Worker. This position will provide assistance with on-campus inspections.
What you’ll do:
- Assistance with on-campus inspections
- Support assessingcampus safety hazards, developing solutions, monitoring implementation and effectiveness
- Enter and track data related to WVU EHS progrmas
- Attend various meetings regarding WVU employee safety
- Participate in sampling projects to analyze employee exposures to a variety of contaminants
- May assist with environmental and health related sampling
- Participate in safety training as necessary and/or desired
- Assist with maintaining various types and styles of monitoring equipment and fleet vehicles
- Carry out special projects as needed
Pay Grade: 15
Length of Assignment: 2 months
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:15 am – 4:45 pm)
- High School diploma or GED required
- experience in safety management or related field experience
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment
- Valid Driver’s License required
