Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness of patient care areas following established procedures, sanitation protocols and achieves satisfaction and quality standards for room and common area cleaning.
- Executes checkout room cleaning per department guidelines. Disposes of hazardous and infectious waste in compliance with protocols.
- Performs morning and evening patient room rounds, inspects room, removes clutter, empties trash, refreshes bathroom. Responds to patient service requests for housekeeping services and hospitality support.
- Cleans common area space and waiting areas on the patient care unit. Stocks linen and housekeeping supplies.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned. Stages equipment for pickup. Monitors corridors and keeps free from clutter.

- Participates in patient safety rounding. Monitors patient for signs of distress. Alerts Nursing personnel when intervention or clinical monitoring is required.
- Mixing of chemicals will be done according to directions, resulting in optimum cleaning. Performance without damaging surfaces as demonstrated by inspection. Understands proper dilution rates of all chemicals used and reports all malfunctions to the dilution systems.
- Operation of, preventative maintenance, cleanliness and repair of any equipment used by the department. Department cleaning, equipment and housekeeping carts will be maintained in good working order as demonstrated through inspection

- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- 6 months experience Preferred
- Drivers License (DL) – License For those environmental services tech positions that will be required to drive HonorHealth vehicles, incumbent must have a clean driving record as defined by HonorHealth Network Driver Qualification Policy Q-359 (available upon request) and meet the following: Must: Be at least 21 years of age and Provide a current and valid Arizona driver’s license and Have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Department of Motor Vehicles obtained and reviewed by Human Resources and Successfully complete the next available, quarterly conducted, in-house training HonorHealth Defensive Driving Course and provide a certificate of completion.
