Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium
Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium provides a home to many ambassador animals that are either injured wildlife or pet surrenders. Interns joining us in the fall will learn about basic care, food preparation, feeding, handlings, and more for a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and birds of prey. Everyone learning animal care will also get to educate the public, learning how to deliver animal talks to the public and engage in informal education on the museum floor. We are looking for current or recently graduated college students that can intern full time (5 days) or part time (3-4 days). Our fall session begins August 21st and ends December 15th.
