Two positions are available, Homestead Florida and Jensen Beach Florida
Job Summary:
Responsible for organizing and conducting direct control operations to reduce wildlife damage within a geographical area or technical/subject area of program involvement. Primary duties of the Jensen Beach position will be conducting wildlife damage management on various FL State Parks, to include feral swine trapping, raccoon trapping, coyote trapping, and removing other wildlife causing damage to property and predating nesting sea turtle and shorebird species. Primary duties of the Homestead position will be
working on Homestead Air Reserve Base to prevent bird and wildlife hazards on the airfield. The selectee will utilize firearms, pyrotechnics, traps, and other tools to harass, relocate, and lethally control wildlife on the airfield. No relocation costs will be paid for either position, and no housing is available.
