Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, and collection systems under instructions from a Professional Engineer.

Perform engineering process design, including equipment sizing and selection.

Model piping system layouts.

Prepare analyses and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems; determine appropriate design methods; and work directly with facility Owners.

Prepare drawings and specifications for water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, and collection systems.

Prepare piping diagrams, composite piping plans, equipment arrangements, piping isometrics, and other detailed drawings in various software platforms.

Coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and others on multi-discipline project teams throughout the projects’ development and execution.

Assist with the administration of construction contracts and startup of wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and related facilities.

Perform other duties as needed.

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.

Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Software knowledge: Revit, Civil 3D.

Previous experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm.

Interest or experience in municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design.

Active interest in learning engineering disciplines assigned and growing into a senior designer.

Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively with a project team to achieve completion of tasks and projects.

Hydraulic modeling software experience.

Design/drafting experience.
-
Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
- Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
