Scale Attendant

Waste Connections is seeking an experienced and customer-focusedScale House Attendantto join our team.

This role is a critical first point of contact for our customers and requires strongattention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Pay: $20 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday / 7 am to 4 pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide excellentcustomer serviceto internal and external customers
• Operate truck scales (weighing vehicles in and out accurately)
• Maintain and update customer account and transaction information
• Set up new customer accounts in the system
• Run daily and monthly operational reports and input data into Excel spreadsheets
• Generate, review, and process customer invoices
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and site staff
• Perform administrative tasks while working independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strongcustomer serviceand interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency inMicrosoft Wordand Excel
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexible availability, including weekends
• Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and office equipment for prolonged periods. Ability to work in an environment that may include dust and noise.
