Summary of Job Duties:The Research Associate I will manage and oversee the Vivarium unit. He/She will also manage the mouse colonies; perform Western blots and real-time PCR, and cell culture techniques. The Research Associate I will prepare buffers and oversee microscopy and laboratory techniques, and equipment. Other duties will include, but not limited to; assisting with writing research protocols and papers, and ordering laboratory supplies.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, or related field, plus four (4) years of research experience required.

Excellent at multitasking and with interpersonal communication skills.

Experience in Western blots and/or real-time PCR preferred.
Responsibilities:
-
Manage and oversee all aspects of the vivarium unit and mouse colonies; perform Western blots and real-time PCR, and cell culture techniques.

Oversee microscopy and general laboratory techniques
-
Oversee the analysis of data obtained through assays and ensure the arrangement of results is illustrated in a workable form.

Assist with writing research protocols and papers.

Order lab supplies.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
