Job Title: Environmental Representative

Location: Houma, LA

position Overview: The Environmental Representative responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste; managing the air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement environmental policies, procedures, and plans.
• Deliver environmental management and compliance awareness training.
• Perform internal inspections to verify adherence to federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.
• Assist with external audits conducted by regulatory agencies.
• Support regulatory reporting requirements, water and waste sampling, and monitoring efforts.
• Waste collection, storage, inspections, and transport (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, industrial solid, special waste, tires, sewage/biosolids).
• Air program implementation including Title V permit requirements, blasting and painting controls, and VOC Housekeeping Plan.
• Water program implementation with Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC/SPC) Plan, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), inspections, and wastewater permit requirements.
• Assists facility and corporate HSE personnel in carrying out various environmental duties.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Environmental Science or related field or a minimum of two (2) years working experience in Environmental compliance.
• EMT, First Responder and First Aid Training are a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• General knowledge of environmental practices and procedures.
• Capable of monitoring/controlling procedures on-site.
• Highly motivated, proficient in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.), Oracle experience a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or with a team.
