Job Title: Research Support Technician (Insect Dissection)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location:Johnston,IA
Duration: 11 Months and 30 days
Job Overview:
Under supervision and following established procedures, the candidate will perform insect midgut dissection and collection to support research and development activities. The role involves working with live plant roots and larvae.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform insect midgut dissection and sample collection

Assist in research and development activities

Observe and analyze live roots and larvae in plants

Identify and suggest improvements in existing methods

Plan and execute small-scale projects with limited scope

Troubleshoot issues when unexpected or incorrect results occur
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Willingness to perform hands-on, manual tasks

Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
