For: Newly graduated veterinarians

  • Experienced veterinarians seeking specialization in wildlife
  • Veterinarians from other countries seeking tropical experience

Duration: Minimum 3 months

Includes:

  • Bungalow Eco-Luxe accommodations
  • All meals provided
  • Walk to Beach

Volunteer requirement: 48 hours per week

Required: Valid veterinary degree

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience ideal
  • Primary medical care for all animals
  • Rescues and releases
  • Emergencies
  • Supervision of student interns
  • Medical protocols
  • Preventive medicine programs
  • Feeding of newborns
  • Feeding and medication of hospitalized animals
  • Under supervision and/or instructions of the attending veterinarian
  • Unique experience with Costa Rican wildlife
  • Learn about these animals with lead veterinarian
  • Networking with centers in the region
  • International professional references
